prof. dr. monika bütler
prof. dr. monika bütler is professor of political economy and executive director of the swiss institute for empirical economic research (sew) at the university of st. gallen (hsg). beforehand she has worked as a full professor at the hec université de lausanne. from 2001-2004 she was a member of the swiss commission for economic questions. she is research affiliate of the center of economic policy research in london, research fellow of the center for economic research in munich and advisor of the world bank in washington. with her study working does not pay off - neither does a second child she initiated a swiss wide discussion about family policy and social questions. read the original version in german: arbeiten lohnt sich nicht - ein zweites kind noch weniger.
carolina müller-möhl
carolina müller-möhl is president of the müller-möhl group (www.mm-grp.com). the entrepreneur is furthermore member of the board of nestlé and the orascom development holding ag. as a member of the board of different foundations among others the pestalozzianum she connects business and social commitment. she is president of the jury of the swiss economic award and used to be member of the jury for the swiss integration award in 2005/07 as well as the education award of the pedagogic college zurich in 2006/07. furthermore she is member of the advisory board of the swiss economic forum and nominated member of the young global leaders. also she is member of the board of administration at nzz as well as the foundation council of avenir suisse. carolina müller-möhl has studied political science, history and law in berlin and heidelberg and has attended further education courses at the london school of economics and the europe institute of the university of basel.
